THANK U HOMIE!!!

Fuck any idiot that says this is "forced representation" when this is literally an independently driven show where no one is forcing it. Also last I checked LBGTQ+ people exist and can be casually included in media like anybody else lmao.

Anyways, moving on from the dumb dumbs, this is high quality stuff as per usual. Loooove the designs and the character animation is always superb. However, the writing is a little bland since a lot of the jokes and imagery are pretty overused. I've seen the spaghetti dinner date thing a million times in a million ways, it's a bit tired now. Also the episode has a lot of stylistic inconsistencies. I think the team needs some stronger direction because it was jarring at times how I could witness the line weight and movement style shift drastically between shots. It never looked bad but it would help the viewer feel more engaged if the style of the world felt more cohesive.

Good stuff all in all! Just needs a few things

Really high quality animation with really fun characters! Wish you guys did something with the car though, felt like like a missed opportunity since the dialogue was building Cocko, who was driving and seemingly not paying much attention to the road, to be sort of a loose cannon. I was definitely anticipating an accident or drive-thru related gag so it was a bummer to see the vehicle not really add anything to the plot.

Nevertheless there's a lot of good stuff here, hope to see more of these two blokes soon!

I think this an amazing film conceptually and portions of the visuals are really stunning, however I would steer you guys towards using a style more indicative of the kind of world and story you're creating. The thick black lines and cartoony style of it makes the piece a lot weaker, especially since the style you picked is never utilized to its full potential. Often times the acting is rigid and awkward, which might be more excusable with a more detailed style. However, this sort of style is simplistic enough to allow for very lively expressions and acting, which is never done. It feels like the film would've greatly benefitted from a more painterly, gritty, or realistic stylistic direction.

Nevertheless, it's still a strong film with a lot of incredible visual and narrative elements, I just personally feel there's a lot of missed potential.

This has so much charm! Seriously loving the claymation style, it fits this type of humor perfectly.

Love u Yotam (P.S. I like ur lines in this animation, they’re so lively)

Very interesting film! Lots of fun characters and moments, definitely reminds me of Felix Colgrave’s sort of flat and surrealist style but with a uniquely digital and stretchy aesthetic. I enjoy the ambiguity and absurdity of the story and would encourage you to push those weirder elements further in future works, but maybe in a less shit-post-y kind of way. Also for a 16 minute film, it didn’t feel like it dragged at all and it was really fun to watch the whole way through. Seriously good work!

Funny stuff, man.

mcgettigan responds:

Hey thanks buddy.

Oh good, now that the sexy diives girls are giving information maybe people will listen

I feel like you tell the same joke over and over and yet it never gets old. Kinda like a delicious Big Mac. But for real, keep doing what ur doing man.
